Amanda Dahl

Amanda Dahl, age 35 of Hastings, died unexpectedly on Friday morning, September 1, 2017. Amanda Jean, the daughter of Allen and Lorraine (Oquist) Dahl, was born on December 8, 1981, in Minneapolis. Amanda was a graduate of Hastings High School class of 2000, and worked in the telemarketing industry for a few years. She was an avid football fan, and especially loved the Minnesota Vikings! Amanda enjoyed going for walks in the park, playing video games, and spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Allen; her grandparents, Charlotte Schwantz, John Dahl, and Bertha Anord Oquist; her niece, Jessica Siebenaler; and by her great nephew, Casey Karpen. Amanda is survived by her daughters, Eryn and Gwen Furney; her mother, Lorraine Dahl; her siblings, Jim (Gail) Dahl, Lynda Dahl, Sandy Dahl (friend, Lyle), and Tammy Dahl (friend, Todd); her many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 8, 2017, at Our Saviours Ev. Lutheran Church in Hastings, with Reverend Doug Duin officiating. A private family interment will be held at Lakeside Cemetery in Hastings. Visitation will be held 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services of Hastings, and will continue for one hour prior to the service on Friday morning at church. Arrangements are being completed by Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services of Hastings.
