Amanda Beth Rand
age 31 of Minneapolis, formerly of Akeley, MN. Born October 1, 1980 in Park Rapids, MN to Debra & Jerry Tatro, passed away at home June 26, 2012.
Amanda graduated from Walker-Hackensack-Akeley H.S. in 1999 and received her Bachelors degree from the U of M, Mortuary Science Program in 2011.
Preceded in death by mother, Debra Opheim; and grandfathers, Leonard Robbins and Ralph Tatro; great-grandparents: Elmer & Viola Opheim and Glen & Gladys Gitchel.
Survived by husband, Joel; grandparents, Audrey (Dale) Maijala and Vera Atkinson; dad, Jerry (Sherri) Tatro; brother, Blake; sister, Brook; nephew, Kyle; aunts, Jennifer Opheim (Scott Ethen) and Eugenia (Laurel) Dunham and many special cousins and great-aunts and uncles.
A visitation will be held from 5-7 PM, Friday, June 29th at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave. So., Minneapolis.
Funeral service is 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the Akeley United Methodist Church with visitation one hour before. Amanda will be laid to rest next to her mother at the Akeley Cemetery.
