Alvera "Potts" Larsen

Alvera �Potts� Larsen, age 83, of Hastings died Thursday, December 29, 2011 at United Hospital in St. Paul. Alvera was born October 5, 1928 in Excelsior, MN to Albert and Dayna (Jacobson) Lagerquist. She was an employee of Smead Mfg. prior to her retirement, and a true sports enthusiast. Preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Alvera is survived by four children Jerry (Pam) Larsen of Shevlin, Connie (Jeff) Duvlea of Hastings, John (Betsy) Larsen of Hastings and Cathy Larsen of Hastings; seven grandchildren Jenny, Jody, Jamey, Brian, Katie, Nathan, and Mandy; eight great-grandchildren; brother Vern (Joann) Lagerquist of Cannon Falls and sister-in-law Lucy Gergen of Hastings. The Memorial Service, officiated by Rev. John Mitchem will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at the United Methodist Church, 615 W. Fifteenth St., Hastings, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service.
