Alonza C. Raway

Alonza C. Raway, age 76, of Hampton, passed away September 26, 2011. She was born November 2, 1934 in Cannon Falls to Peter and Louise Kieffer. She married John Raway on May 28, 1953 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Trier. She made and donated over 15,000 lap quilts in the last 15 years. She was preceded in death by husband, John; daughter, Mary Alonza; granddaughter, Rachel Marie; and her parents. She is survived by children, Mike Raway (fiance, Liza) of Nashville, TN; Linda (Douglas) Kuplic of Inver Grove Heights; Patti (Wayne) Beissel of Hastings; Tom (Sharon) Raway of Hastings; Kevin Raway of Cannon Falls; Jeff (Brandie) Raway of Hastings; 14 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Ron (Shirley); sister, Mary Ann; brother in law, Harold; other relatives and friends. Memorial Mass will be held, Thursday (9/29) at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 8433 239th St. E., New Trier. Gathering will be held Wednesday (9/28) 4:00 - 8:00p.m. at the Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring St., Hastings and one hour prior to mass on Thursday. Memorials preferred.
