Allan L. Eckman

Allan Lawrence Eckman, 81 most recently of Burnsville, Minnesota passed away January 13, 2026, at his residence at Suite Living. Allan was born in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Lawrence and Gladys Eckman on April 6th, l944. Allan lived his whole life with Cerebral Palsy from a birth injury. He attended Michael Dowling School where he not only received his primary education but physical and occupational therapy. He graduated from Marshall High School in Minneapolis. His disability was great, so he was not gainfully employed but if he could help in any way, he was glad to do so.

Allan was preceded in death by his Parents, Grandparents, Grandnephew Grant Lundell and many other relatives. He is survived by Sister Connie (Donald) Lundell, Nephew Thomas (Kimberly) Lundell, Niece Juliane (Sean) Niemiec, Grandnieces Marina and Maya Lundell.

Our family wishes to extend gratitude to the staff of Suite Living and Brighton Hospice. They gave him loving care throughout his last days. Special Thank You to his private caregiver Roman who was with him for 20 years! She was his caregiver as well as friend.

Visitation will be held at 10 A.M. on May 12th at the Starkson Family-Anderson Chapel, 14850 Garrett Avenue, Apple Valley, Minnesota. Celebration of Life at 11 A.M. followed by reception. Private Burial at Becker Cemetery the following day.

Allan was a courageous person, living with Cerebral Palsy takes Courage.
