Alice Evelyn Fransen

FRANSEN, Alice Evelyn (Bjorklund), age 89 of Mpls., passed away April 6, 2006 at Walker Methodist Senior Center. Alice and husband, Gust, owned and operated Fransen’s Grocery store at 45th & Minnehaha Ave. in S. Mpls., which later became Fransen’s Nursey and Garden Store. After Gust passed away in 1975, Alice began a 25 yr. career at Bachman’s on Lyndale Ave. She will be dearly missed by son, Larry D. Fransen, wife LuAnn; daughter, Marlyce J. Turnbull, husband, Douglas; son, Robert A. Fransen, wife, Ruth; 7 grandchilren; 7 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters and 5 brothers. She was preceded in death by husband, Gust; grandson, Jason; sister, Mae and brother, Kenneth. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM at Normandale Lutheran Church, 6100 Normandale Rd., Edina, MN (952-929-1697). Reviewal begins at 10 AM at the church.
