Alberta "Bert" Suter

Alberta L. �Bert� Suter, age 88 of Welch died Wednesday, July 18, 2012 in Hastings. Alberta was born February 7, 1924 in South St. Paul to Albert and Lillian (Hilger) Shepard. She was a graduate of South St. Paul High School and was a former employee of Wiederholt�s Supper Club in Miesville and Braschler�s Bakery in Red Wing. Bert was preceded in death by her parents; first husband Arnold J. Nauer and second husband Charles Suter; daughters Francine Nauer, Ruth Ann Ferraro, and Jeanette �Nettie� Nauer; brothers Joseph and Leo Shepard; sister Annabelle Weber. She is survived by her children Marilyn (John) Gogala of South St. Paul, Jo Ann (Mike) Walzak of West St. Paul, Arnold �Butch� (Joyce) Nauer of Welch, Albert (Mary) Nauer of New Trier, Gerard �Jerry� Nauer of South St. Paul, and Kathleen Nauer of Welch; also 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren; sisters Mary Ann Butler and RuthSaunders of VA, Jeanette Wichtl of NC. The Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Fernando Ortega will be held 11AM Friday, July 20, 2012at St. Joseph�s CatholicChurch, 23955 Nicolai Ave., Miesville with visitation after 9AM. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
