Adam Lester Isackson, age 35, of Hastings, passed away unexpectedly May 30th, 2020. Adam was born in Hastings on July 3rd, 1984 to Edward and Joy (Thompson) Isackson. Throughout his life, Adam brought so much energy and happiness to those around him. Growing up, his favorite pastimes were playing baseball and hockey, and working on cars. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed spending time outdoors, and loved anything with an engine. Adam graduated from Hastings High School in 2003, and then earned his Associates Degree in Applied Science from Dunwoody College of Technology in 2005. He worked for Marathon Petroleum as a Console Operator for 13 years. His love of knowledge and dedication to his field led him to serve as a member on many of the refinery’s volunteer positions; two of which included the Emergency Response, and Incident Investigation teams. One of his proudest moments was saving the life of a fellow coworker who fell victim to a heart attack. He loved his parents dearly and cherished time spent with family. Some of his favorite memories were of going hunting, taking camping trips to the Boundary Waters with his father, and being called “Hi-Yah” by his little sister. He brought much happiness to everyone, with a bright smile, sparkling blue eyes, and always kind words. Adam was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lester and Emily Isackson; and Lon and Elaine Thompson. Adam will be greatly missed by his surviving family members parents, Edward and Joy; sister, Lindsay; future brother-in-law, Joseph Abing; as well as many other relatives and friends. Due to COVID 19 a private memorial service will be held at the Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel on Saturday June 6th at 4:00pm. Interment is to be held at a later date in Northern Minnesota. Memorials kindly preferred in lieu of flowers. Adam’s family will be making a donation in his name at a later date to a charity close to their hearts.
