William G. King

William G. King, age 93 of Hastings, Minnesota, died peacefully at United Hospital on Tuesday morning, July 6, 2021. William "Bill", the son of William H. and Anna (Eilen), was born on November 15, 1927, in Miesville, Minnesota. Bill was joined in Holy Matrimony to Theresa Leifeld on June 15, 1949 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Vermillion, MN. Together they lived and worked their family farm raising 14 children. Bill also worked for Hudson Manufacturing, The Hastings Bus Company, and as an electrician. Bill was a past member of the Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Theresa; his son William "Bill" King Jr.; his grandson, Kevin McDonald; his sons-in-laws, Tim McDonald and William Halek; and by his eight siblings. Bill is survived by his children, Theresa (Neil) Rademacher of Afton, MN; Elizabeth (Rick Brandeburg) King of Portland, OR; Robert (Karen) King of Hastings, MN; JoAnne McDonald of Cottage Grove, MN; Daniel (Janet) King of Hastings, MN; John (Kathy) King of Nisland, SD; Janice (Larry) Hruza of St. Paul, MN; Sharon (Joe) Hruza of Hastings, MN; Rosanne (Jeff) Otto of Hastings, MN; Paul (Mary) King of Hastings, MN; Mary Gale (John Melchert) of Eden Prairie, MN; Richard (Jenny) King of Hastings, MN; Patrick King of Eagan, MN; 37 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and by many extended family members. Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation on Sunday, July 11 from 2pm - 6pm at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Monday, July 12 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Trier, with Father Mike Tix officiating. Visitation will begin at 10am with a luncheon to follow services at the church. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
