William "Bill" Whipple

William "Bill" Whipple, age 52 of New Trier died March 23, 2014. Bill was born April 2, 1961 in Hastings, MN to Willard and Nell (Siebenaler) Whipple. Bill graduated from Hastings High School in 1979 and worked as a driver in the trucking industry. He married Julie Ayres on April 25, 2002 in Las Vegas, NV. He loved boating, fishing, playing darts, hunting and his family. Bill is survived by his wife Julie; children April Mancl and Gina Whipple both of River Falls, Benjamin Whipple of Inver Grove Heights, William "Woody" Whipple Jr. of River Falls, Ethan Ayres-Betzold and Nick Whipple both of Hampton; grandchildren Ava and Bella Mancl, Chance, Daniel Jr., Aryah and Cage Whipple; parents Willard and Nell Whipple of Hastings; siblings Gail, Keith (Penny), Bob (Peggy), Joyce, Jeff (Kerrie), Mike, Wendy (Bill); many relatives and friends.The Memorial Mass, officiated by Fr. Cole Kracke will be held 11 AM Monday, March 31 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 West Fifteenth St., Hastings. Visitation will be held Sunday 4-7 PM at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home 201 East Seventh St, Hastings and also one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery, Hastings. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
