Virginia Mae Krier

Virginia M. Krier, age 90 of Hastings, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2017. Virginia Mae was born September 15, 1926 in Empire, Minnesota to William and Katherine (McKenna) Rech. She was blessed with two great men in her life between marriage and friendship. Outside of her relationships, she enjoyed traveling with her girlfriends. Virginia loved her family, dancing, her computer, crossword puzzles, playing cards and watching her grandson play baseball. She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Krier in 1988 and her brother, Clarence Rech. Virginia is survived by her daughter, Katie (Randy) Overby and grandson, Nathan; daughter, Polly (Trevor Maunder) Krier and grandson, Clayton; dear friend, David Berger; brother, Douglas (Dian) Rech and many nieces, nephews and friends. A special thanks to St. Croix Hospice and the Three Links Care Center Staff. The Celebration of Ginny will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services, 201 East Seventh Street in Hastings. Visitation 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Reception will follow the celebration. Interment will be held at a later date.
