Viola E. Otto, age 88 of Miesville, died March 2, 2015 at Augustana Health Care Center in Hastings. Viola was born September 26, 1926 in Bottineau, ND to Helmer and Mathilda (Schepp) Schultz. She married Richard Otto at St. Pius V Catholic Church in Cannon Falls on June 29, 1946. Viola was a homemaker, and after Richards death in 1985, she worked as a dietary aide at the Cannon Falls Nursing Home and Jos Caf in Farmington. Viola loved playing cards and Bingo and was well known for her embroidered towels and her baking. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Richard; sons Richard and Nick; sisters Ella Scheidler and Gladys Eckblad; and brother Carl Schultz. Viola is survived by her children Frank (Patty) Otto of Cannon Falls, Judy (Dick) Langenfeld of Winsted, MN, Mary (John) Langenfeld of Hastings, Linda Heinlein of Cannon Falls, Betty (Kevin) Lindahl of Cannon falls, Bernard (Dina) Otto of Miesville, John (Jane) Otto of Welch, and Lois (Dusty) Duesterhoeft of Miesville; 21 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren; sisters Dorothy (Al) Sladek of Dundas, MN, and Marilyn Naylor of Cottage Grove; also many other relatives and friends. The Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Terry Beeson will be held 11 AM Saturday, March 7, 2015 at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Miesville, with visitation two hours prior to the Mass at church. Her grandchildren will serve as her pallbearers. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
