Viola C. Welsh died Friday, December 12, 2008 at her home in rural Hastings. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sigfried and Claira (Anderson) Olson, by her husband John V. Welsh, a son Jack Welsh and a brother LeRoy Olson. She is survived by a son Lawrence (Monica) Welsh of Hastings, grandsons Daniel Welsh, Christopher (Megan) Mork; great grandchildren Henry and Eva Mork, a brother Fred Olson of Hastings, sisters Barbara Richards of Longville, MN; Nancy Kolniak of Lincoln Park, MI; Godchildren Wayne Richards, Cindy Olson Mike Olson, nieces nephews.Visitation will be held Monday, December 15, 2008 from 5-8 pm at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home in Hastings.Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at 10:30 am at St. Agatha's Catholic Church in Coates, MN. (No visitation Tuesday)Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
