Timothy GergenTimothy 'Timmy' Gergen of Hastings, an avid golfer, walker, biker and Vikings fan, died Sept.8, 2007, at his home in Hastings, surrounded by his family. He was 44.He was born Feb. 13, 1963, in Hastings, the son of Floyd and Illa (Condon) Gergen. He was employed at ConAgra and was a member of the Minnesota National Guard. His family described him as a 'very energetic, hard worker.'He married Lisa McCarty Sept. 22, at the LeDuc Historic estate in Hastings.He is survived by his wife, Lisa of Hastings and her children, Melissa Young, Matthew Young and Sarah (Peter) Oftedahl and their children, Emily and Hailey; brother, Thomas Gergen; sisters, Sheila (David) Hubley, Sharon (Tim) McNaughton and Sandra (Alan) Storlie; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.A funeral service will be held Sept. 11, 2007 at 11:00am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Hastings, with Father James Perkl officiating. Memorials are preferred.The Wise Family Funeral Home (www.wisefamilyfh.com), Hastings, was in charge of the arrangements.
