Thomas "George" G. Stoffel

Thomas �George� Stoffel, age 73 of Hastings, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at Red Wing Health Care Center. Thomas was born April 12, 1943 in Hastings to Nicholas and Caroline (Frost) Stoffel. He was a 1961 graduate of Hastings High School and served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He married Jane Kuyack on May 2, 1980 at St. Boniface Catholic Church and was a farmer who also worked in construction. He loved farming and showing cattle. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patricia Brand and grandson, Thomas Stoffel II. Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Jane (Kuyack); daughters, Candee (Kenny) Jenson and Sandy Stoffel; grandson, Landon Jenson; brother Nicholas Lynn (Shirley) Stoffel; nephews Nathan Brand and Joseph Stoffel as well as other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 201 East Seventh Street, Hastings with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
