Theresa "Terri" Kern

Theresa L. Kern, age 55 of Prescott, Wisconsin, died peacefully on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Minneapolis, surrounded by her family and friends. Theresa Lynn, the daughter of Donald and Ruth (Reisch) Moberg, was born on June 25, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois. Following her graduation from Main West High School in Des Plaines, Illinois, she was united in marriage to Donald Kern. They were blessed with two children, Michael and Karina, prior to their divorce. Theresa was an avid and talented landscaper and was featured in many garden tours throughout Prescott. She loved being outdoors and spending time with her children and pets. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald. Terri is survived by her children, Mike Kern of Prescott and Karina Kern of Eagan; her mother, Ruth Moberg of Platteville, WI; her siblings, Christian Moberg of Plant City, FL, and Eric (Kathy) Moberg of Johnsburg, IL; and by many other relatives and friends.A Celebration of Terri's Lifewill be held at 3:30 PM Friday, May 13, 2016 at Carpenter Nature Center, 12805 St. Croix Trail South, Hastings, MN,followed by a reception from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. with family and friends. Arrangements are being completed by Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services in Hastings.
