Theresa J. Moes

Theresa J. Moes, age 100, of Hastings and formerly of New Trier, died peacefully Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Regina Medical Center with her family at her side. Theresa Johanna, the daughter of Martin and Mary (Rohr) Gores, was born on July 28, 1914 in Douglas Township, Dakota County. On June 18, 1947, she was united in marriage to Bernard P. Moes at St. James Catholic Church in St. Paul. They spent many years farming and raising their family together in the New Trier area. She was a longtime member of St. Marys Catholic Church in New Trier. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bernard, a son Thomas, siblings Veronica Lorentz, Christine Siebenaler, Ceal Gores and Louis Gores. She is survived by her children, Bernadette (Wayne) Kieffer of Miesville, Jeanne (Don) Wyszynski of Minnetonka, Joe (Bev) Moes of New Trier, and Beverly (Dan) Peine of New Trier; her nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren; brother and sisters-in-law, Sr. Duane Moes O.S.B. of Maplewood, Nicholas (Mabel) Moes of Hastings, and Joan Moes of Hastings; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.The visitation will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Miesville, 23955 Nicolai Ave. E., on Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and for one hour prior to the service on Monday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Monday July 20, 2015 also at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Miesville, with Fr. Leonard Siebenaler and Fr. Martin Siebenaler officiating. Interment will be held at St. Marys Cemetery in New Trier.
