Shannon Marie Daggett, age 37, passed away September 1, 2017 in St. Paul. Shannon has gone to be with the Lord-taken from us much too soon. She was born in St. Paul, MN and raised in Hastings MN by her parents Scott and Kelly Daggett. After her parents’ divorce at age 14, she lived with her dad in Prescott, WI. She attended St. Boniface Parochial school, Hastings Public Schools and later Prescott Sr. High. After high school, she earned her GED. She met the love of her life Steven Hunter Sr. in 2006 and had two children, Steven Hunter Jr and Elijah Hunter. While Steven Jr was a baby, Shannon worked in nursing homes and went back to school to pursue a career as a nurse. She graduated from Hennepin Technical College in 2010 and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. At first, she worked for the Minneapolis Veterans home then later pursued a nursing position where she worked with ventilator patients in their homes. She brought her kindness and gentleness to her nursing career. Shannon loved spending time with her two sons more than anything and when she wasn’t spending time with her children, she enjoyed making scrapbooks for her boys, reading, writing and drawing. A very special Thank You to Steven Hunter Sr and Hannah Baker who will continue to raise Shannon’s kids with love and care. Shannon did much artwork and decorated her living space with it. Shannon had a deep and honest relationship with god. With god’s help she overcame many hardships and struggles and was putting her life back together when she passed away. Shannon is survived by her two sons, Steven Hunter Jr. (10) and Elijah Hunter (5); her parents, Scott (Renee) Daggett and Kelly Daggett (Tom); her sister, Carrie Schneider (Matt) and nephew Noah; her sister, Amy Leverich (Peter) and nieces, Mia, Melanie, Phoebe and Avery; her sister, Megan DeCamp and nephew, Luca; her brother, Ryan DeCamp and nephew, William; her dear aunt, Katie Moffat (Alan) and cousin, Kaylyn; her grandparents, Patricia and Donald Anderson of New Richmond, WI, Beverly Bruegl, of Prescott WI, and Grandpa Patrick Murphy of Oakdale, MN; also many more aunts, uncles, cousins, and great aunts and uncles.
