Sean D. Theelke

Sean David Theelke, age 46, of Breezy Point and formerly of Hastings, passed away January 11, 2019. Sean was born in Hastings, MN, on his mother's birthday, May 16, 1972. He attended Hastings area schools and graduated from Mesabi East High School, Aurora, MN. Sean had a creative and adventurous spirit. He won several art awards while attending elementary school and expanded his creative energy throughout his life. His adventures took him across the country multiple times, especially to Florida where the palm trees and manatees could almost call him by name. Camping, fishing, snowmobiling, wild berry picking, hunting, coin collecting, and mushroom hunting were his pleasures. His passion was cooking, and his dream was to own his own restaurant. Sean went out of his way to make others happy. Sean is survived by his parents, David and Sandra Theelke; sisters, Kelei Johnson, and Kari Krech; nieces and nephews, Andrew and Megan Johnson, Keanu (Sarah), Corbin Krech, and Reagan Krech-Bomett; other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held on Sunday (1/20) at 1:00 PM at Resurrection United Methodist Church, 615 W. 15th Street, Hastings. A gathering will be held one hour prior to the service at church.
