Ruth C. Atchison

Ruth Charlotte Atchison, age 85 of Hastings died Sunday, March 31, 2013 at the Regina Nursing Home. Ruth was born August 29, 1927 in Willow River, MN to Martin and Esther (Youngberg) Johnson. She married Howard W. Atchison on May 18, 1946 in the Riverview Apostolic Church and had worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the health care industry.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Howard and daughter Gloria. Ruth is survived by her two daughters, Barbara (Frank) McCoy and Carol Johnson; two sons, Jim and Bob Atchison; also six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.The Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Stephen Schoenwald will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 4, 2013 at River of Life Church, 800 Vermillion Street, Hastings with visitation held one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will follow in Lakeside Cemetery, Hastings. The pallbearers are David Oren, Daniel Oren, Michael Long and Sean Linderholm.In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are preferred.
