Roy R. Bremer

On Monday, March 1st, 2021, Roy Bremer loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away at the age of 90. Roy was born on December 4th, 1930 in Hastings, Minnesota to John and Olga Bremer. He married his wife, Karen (Schaar) Bremer in 1958. They raised two children, John (Janet) Bremer and Ruth (Tom) Lehmann. His days were filled with dairy farming and driving his favorite tractors. And, when able, would spend time fishing, target shooting, and enjoying his favorite section of the newspaper-the comics. Roy enjoyed farming with his son until he made the transition to being an active bird and squirrel watcher and rediscovering his love of Westerns through afternoon movies with his wife. He will be remembered for his retellings of his days in the Army and always welcoming people into his conversations with a smile. Roy was preceded in death by his father, John, his mother, Olga, and his brother, John (Rita) Bremer. He is survived by his wife, Karen, his children John and Ruth, and their spouses. As well as his grandchildren; Sara Bremer, Michael (Hillary) Bremer, Jenny (Brian) Link, Dan (Alli) Lehmann. Pastor, Jon Zimpelmann of St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran, of which Roy was a lifelong member, will be presiding over a private graveside committal service on March, 5th, 2021 at Lakeside Cemetery. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
