Rose Mary Loesch

Rose Mary Loesch, age 81, died unexpectedly on April 27, 2014 in Wichita, Kansas while enroute back to her home in Vermillion. Rosie was born June 12, 1932 in Evanston, IL to John and Bertha (Wiederholt) Loesch. She was a 1951 graduate of Hastings High School and was employed by Burlington Northern Railroad as a key punch operator prior to retirement. One of her favorite hobbies was following the local area baseball teams. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers James, John "Jack" and Harold; and nephew Jim. Rosie is survived by her nieces and nephews including Mary (Ron) Rother of Hastings, Barb Teigen of Red Wing and John Loesch of Hastings; sister-in-law Darlene Loesch of Hastings; other relatives and friends. The funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Stan Mader will be held 11 AM Monday, May 5, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Vermillion. Visitation will be held at church from 9:30 AM until time of service. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. The pallbearers are Nick Loesch, Corey Loesch, Brady Loesch, Brian Rother, Angie Pohl and Dan Pohl.
