Ronald L. Siedschlag, age 82, of Hastings, passed away at home on May 7, 2013. He was born in Berlin, ND on July 6, 1930 to Leon and Alice Siedschlag. He graduated from Lamoure High School in 1948 and married Doris Isakson on January 21, 1951 in Lamoure. Ronald worked in sales for 26 years at the Minneapolis Star-Tribune and was a lifelong member of the American Federation of Grain Millers. He was a very active member of St. Philip’s Lutheran Church and had given over 20 gallons of his blood to the local Blood Mobile. He loved working in the yard, fishing, and most of all his family. He was preceded in death by wife, Doris; son, Steven; parents; sisters, Georgine and Elaine; brother, Richard. He is survived by daughter, Beth (Stan) Mattila of Martinsville, Indiana; son, Kent (Cindy) of Redwood Falls; daughter, Lynn (Douglas) Kruger of Rochester; daughter, Gail (Roland) Swanson of River Falls, WI; grandchildren, Keaton (Megan), and Whitney Mattila; Katie Siedschlag; Luke and Amanda Kruger; Benjamin, Steven, Jeffrey (Sam) and Lindsey Swanson; great grandchildren, Hayli; Brodi; and Sydney; and brother, Douglas (Marlene) of Valley City, ND.A Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor Ed Frederick, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday (5/11) at St. Philip’s Lutheran Church, 1401 15th Street West in Hastings. A Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to St. Phillip’s Lutheran Church.
