Roman P Winter

Roman P. Winter, age 87, of Hastings, passed away at home on July 17, 2015. He was born on the family farm on May 15, 1928 to Claude and Mary Winter. He married Donna Schoonover at St. John Vianney Church in South St. Paul on September 22, 1962. Roman retired from Bailey Nurseries after 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Mary Winter; step mother, Regina Winter; brothers, DuWayne; Harold and Eugene Winter; sister, Claudette Nigon; and nephew, Tommy Winter. He is survived by his wife, Donna; children, Mark (Betsy) Winter; Michael (Kim) Winter; and Mary (Sam) Burr; grandchildren, Jeff Winter; Jennifer Burr; Jodi Burr; Jamie Burr; Jordan Winter; Rachel Winter; Jason Burr; Dale Burr; Mitchell Winter; and Catie Winter; 10 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wed. (7/22) at 2:00 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. 15th St., Hastings. A visitation will take place two hours prior to mass at church. Interment, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Cemetery. Memorials preferred.
