Geraghty, Roger J., Age 75 of Hastings died May 2, 2010 of cancer. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Geraghty and Marguerite (Jarms) Geraghty, his 2 siblings, Patricia (Geraghty) Peverill and Emmett Geraghty USN Ret., and all aunts and uncles. Survived by his Wife of 53 years and best friend, Sharlene (Easton) Geraghty and five children, Capt. Barb Geraghty USN, Ret; Joe (JunHee) Geraghty; Mike Geraghty (Special Friend, Jane); Joan (Dennis) Hemenway; Carol (Rich) Schoenthaler. Also survived by 8 wonderful grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.Roger proudly served 4 years in the US Navy during the Korean War.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 6 at 10:00 A.M. at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 15Th St. W., Hastings, MN. Memorial gathering will be held Wednesday May 5 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at the Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring St, Hastings, MN as well as one hour prior to mass at the church. Interment, Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Allina Hospice Foundation or the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network or a charity of your choice are preferred.
