Robert L. Geronime

Robert L. Geronime, age 90 of Rosemount, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at Regina Senior Living in Hastings. Robert Louis was born to Louis and Mary (Bearth) Geronime on October 25, 1926 in St. Paul. He served in the Navy during WWII and received his engineering degree from the University of Minnesota and a Masters degree from St. Thomas University. Robert married Patricia M. Birk on August 23, 1952 at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Rosemount. He had been employed with Rosemount Engineering Company prior to his retirement. Robertwas preceded in death by his parents; wife Patricia in 2007 and one grandchild, Thomas. Heis survived by his five children, Paul (Kathy) Geronime, DeAnne Dubbs, Steve (Karen) Geronime, Patty Jo (Paul) Yager and Mark (Lara) Geronime; thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren; brothers, Donald (MaryLou) Geronime and Eugene (Jane) Geronime; sister Mary Lou (Bernard) Bauer; also many nieces, nephews and godchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Monday, December 19, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 13900 Biscayne Avenue in Rosemount with Fr. Paul Kammen, celebrant and Fr. Thomas O'Brien, concelebrant. A visitation will be held from 26 p.m. Sunday at Caturia- Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services, 201 Seventh Street E. in Hastings and one hour prior to the Monday service at church. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Rosemount American Legion Post # 65.
