Robert H. Geiken

Geiken, Robert H., age 93, of Hastings died November 27, 2007 at home. Robert was born in Mankato, MN on April 24, 1914 to John and Lydia (Sayler) Geiken. He married Iona Norman on August 24, 1937 in Mankato. He was a former employee at Lund Ski Factory, Smead Mfg., King Midas Flour Mill, and �3M Chemolite. Robert was an active member of his church, an avid fisherman and hunter. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother John. He is survived by his wife Iona; sons Maurice (Lois) Geiken of Maplewood, Dennis (Sue) Geiken of Weeki Wachee, FL and Robert J. (Beverly) Geiken of Hastings; 6 grandchildren, Kent (Geri) Geiken, Patrick (Brenda) Geiken, Tami (Randy) Lee, Brenda Capron, Robert A. (Korean) Geiken, and Blaine (Kim) Geiken; also 11 great-grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be held 10am Friday, November 30, 2007 at the RIVER OF LIFE CHURCH, 800 Vermillion St., Hastings, with interment following in Lakeside Cemetery. The visitation will be held at CATURIA-SMIDT FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. 7th St., Hastings from 4-8pm Thursday and 1 hour prior to service at church Friday. (651) 437-9419
