Robert "Bob" H. Jacobsen

Robert H. 'Bob' Jacobsen, age 80, of Hastings, passed away peacefully January 16, 2019. He was a native of St. Paul, living on the East side. Bob graduated from Helix High School in California. He was a Vietnam Veteran and gave 22 years of service to the United States Air Force. He retired as a Senior Master Sargent. Bob later worked as a Security Guard, retiring from 3M. He was an avid fisherman and storyteller, as well as the family historian. Bob loved the bells and whistles of Las Vegas and was often given a hard time for not being mechanically inclined. He was preceded in death by his son, Steve; parents, Brendt and Wilma Jacobsen; brother, Doug Jacobsen; brother in law, Tom Clemens. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Carole; children, Chris (Janice), Cindy (Stephen), and Brendt (Melanie); grandchildren, Cassie, Natalee, Nicole, Bob, Mitchell, and Olivia; 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Bonnie (Glenn), Vickie (Vic), Cheryl; sister in law, Suzie; and many other relatives and many friends. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday (1/22) at 11:00 AM at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel - Wise Chapel, 400 Spring St., Hastings. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
