Robert A. Clark, age 68, of Hastings, passed away at home on Wednesday, December 9, 2015. He was born on September 25, 1947 in Winona, Minnesota to Lester and Emma Clark. He married Annette Rother on September 13, 1986 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Hastings. Bob served with the US Army 2nd Armored Division from ’65 to ’68 as an Engineer, serving two tours in Vietnam. He also served with the MN Army National Guard from ’71 to ’90 with E Company , 682nd Engineer Co., and the 447th Chemical Co., both in Northfield, MN. He attended Winona Technical College and worked for the Dakota County Highway Department for 33 years, retiring in 2004. In retirement he enjoyed being an active member of the Lyle Russell Hastings VFW Post 1210. He served as Post Commander from 2009-2012, and was a member of the Post Military Honor Guard. Preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Earl Clark; Vivian Berry; and Charles Clark. Robert is survived by wife, Annette; children, Angela (Todd) Wyland of North Carolina; Alan (Wendy) Clark of Shakopee; Amy Becker of Hastings; stepsons, Steven and Daniel Reinardy; 9 grandchildren; brother, Martin (Sachi) Clark of Bethany; David Clark of Rolling Stone; sister, Nancy (Charles) Prigge of North Saint Paul; brother in law, Glenn (Joanne) Berry of Zumbro Falls; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Fr. Dave Hennen, will be held Friday (12/18) at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 15th St. W, Hastings. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to mass at church. Interment, Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Pallbearers and Military Honors provided by VFW Lyle Russell Post 1210.
