Richard W Gabbert

Richard W. Gabbert, age 77, of Hastings, passed away at home December 30, 2020. He loved carving, boating, bridge jumping, and most of all, spending time with his family and friends. Richard was always available and willing to lend a helping hand. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne (Flanagan) Gabbert and his parents, Walter and Emma (Weinkauf) Gabbert. Richard is survived by his children, David Gabbert, Christopher (Michele) Gabbert and Jeanne Gabbert; grandchildren, Tyler, Michael, Mitchell, Marcus and Savannah Gabbert; Jason and Connor Gabbert; and Hallie and Brooke; great grandchildren, Oliver, Jackson and Tyson Gabbert; JJ and Narissa Gabbert; sisters, Donna (Ivan) Hackseth, Rose (Jerry) Severson, Debbie Gabbert and Joyce Gabbert; brother, Robert Gabbert; his dogs, Chiquita and Tucker; and many other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 1, 2021 from 1:00 - 3:00 PM at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, 3075 Vermillion St., Hastings. Memorials preferred to the Animal Ark or Hastings Family Service.
