Richard "Dick" M. Mcnamara

Richard "Dick" McNamara, age 73 of Center City, MN formerly of Rosemount passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, November 22, 2014. Dick was born January 19, 1941 in St. Paul, MN to Aloysius and Edith (Chapdelaine) McNamara. Dick was a graduate of South St. Paul High School Class of 1959. He married Jeanne Gunn on February 17, 1962 at The Blessed Sacrament Church in St. Paul. Dick had multiple business ventures including McNamara Cycle Sales in So. St. Paul, PowerMac and Sunbelt Concrete Pumping. He was employed at Schwing America and retired from Advance Shoring Company in 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandchildren Katherine Rose McNamara and John Paul McNamara Jr. Dick is survived by his wife Jeanne of 53 years; nine children Janine (David) Flaherty, Kathy (Ben) Siebenaler, Rick (Linda), Dan (Lori), Mike (Kris), Julie (Lon) Huppert, Bob (Julie), Ryan (Nikki) and John (Rachel) McNamara; 49 grandchildren and one great grandchild; 7 siblings Theresa (Herm) Todd, Kenny (Alice) McNamara, Beverly White, LaDonna (Loren) Flynn, Margaret (Art) Roarke, Mary LeMay, Jean (Frank) Stickler. The Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Mark Moriarty will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 26 at the Church of St. Agnes, 548 Lafond Ave, St. Paul. Visitation Tuesday 4-8 PM at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home 201 East 7th St. Hastings. Interment will be held at St. Agathas Catholic Cemetery near Coates, MN. In lieu of flowers memorial masses preferred.
