Ralph W. Malloy, a champion cribbage player, age 76, of Hastings, passed away February 14, 2011 at his home. He was born July 5, 1934 in Belle Creek, MN to Clarence and Florence Malloy. Ralph retired from Koch Refinery and was the owner of Malloy and Sons Painting. He was the Nickname Maestro; giving everyone he knew their own special nickname. Ralph was a huge dog lover; he truly treated dogs as if they were human. He is preceded in death by his parents. Ralph is survived by his children, Randy (Charlotte) Malloy; Jim (Julie) Malloy; Lisa (Joseph) Karels; Rob Malloy; Lynn (Peter) Frame; Chris (Brent) Nash; and Brad (Mary Beth) Alcorn; 15 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; his loving K-9 companion, Samantha; and sister, Agnes Holmes. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday (2/18), 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. 15th St., Hastings. A Visitation will be held on Thursday (2/17) from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Mother Seton Hall and one hour prior to mass on Friday. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Dave Canniff; Josh Canniff; Chris Canniff; John Wagner Sr.; John Wagner; and Tom Wagner. Ushers are Bob Kavitz; Ray Kimmen and Jerry Joswiak.
