Patricia "Pat" Pederson

Patricia M. "Pat" Pederson, age 87 of Hastings died January 30, 2014 at Ruth Home. Pat was born July 9, 1926 in Hastings to John and Lydia (Dieball) Darling. She was a graduate of Hastings High School, class of 1944 and married David L. Pederson on February 22, 1947 in Hastings. Pat was former secretary for United Way of Hastings and formerly employed at the Dakota County Tribune. Pat was an active community volunteer and member of the Regina Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband David and son Kirk. Pat is survived by her children David (Barbara) Pederson of Plymouth, Cris (Barry) Stainer of Lunenburg, MA, Barbara (Howard) Cutts of West St. Paul, Michael Pederson of New York City, Jon (Janet) Pederson of Sarasota, FL and Robert (Jo Ann) Pederson of Cottage Grove; daughter-in-law Buff Betz of Sarasota, FL; also ten grandchildren Tony and Nicholas Pederson, Ginny Stainer, Sam and Emily Cutts, Callie Pederson, Max and Gus Pederson, Delaney and Ella Pederson; and four great grandchildren Lucia, Juliana, Leo and Ben Pederson. The Memorial Service, officiated by Gordon Gathright will be held 11 AM Saturday, February 15 at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 East Seventh St, Hastings with visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Regina Auxiliary or the Hastings Library.
