Patricia K. Harp

Patricia K. Harp, age 78 of Hastings, died peacefully following an extended illness on Saturday morning, January 12, 2019, at Prescott Nursing and Rehab in Prescott. Patricia Kaye, the daughter of Otis and Mildred (Humphrey) Westby, was born on February 28, 1940, in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Following her graduation from Mora High School, Pat was united in marriage to Kenneth C. Harp at Calvary Lutheran Church in Mora on September 10, 1960. In 1961, they moved to Hastings and were blessed with two children, Michael and James. Pat and Ken were dedicated members of Our Saviours Lutheran Church where Pat was a former secretary and choir member. Pat was a well-known interior designer, and loved collecting Colonial-American antiques. She was also a great seamstress, baker, and gardener. Pat was very proud of her Norwegian Heritage, and of course her favorite town, Mora. She belonged to the Sons of Norway and was actively involved with the LeDuc Mansion in Hastings. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth; and by her son, James. Pat is survived by her son, Mike (Cheri) Harp; granddaughters, Callie (Jake) Koehler, Taylor (Mike) Willett, and Lexie Harp; great grandson, Kellen Koehler; brother, Rick (Kada) Westby; sister, Cherie (Jerry) Hanson; brother-in-law, Ron (Patty) Harp; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2019, at Our Saviours Lutheran Church in Hastings, with Reverend Lloyd Menke officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Hastings. Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning at church. In lieu of flowers, Pats family requests memorials be directed to the Alzheimers Association or to the donors choice in her memory. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
