Othmar L. Fox

Othmar L. Fox, age 85, of Miesville, died Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at Fairview Medical Center, Red Wing. Othmar was born April 1, 1924 in Miesville to Albert and Anna (Schaffer) Fox. He was united in marriage to Betty Jensen on July 31, 1946 at St. PiusV Catholic Church, Cannon Falls. Othmar farmed in the Miesville area his entire life. He was an excellent cabinet maker, woodworker, and loved to hunt and fish. He helped start the Miesville Mudhens Team, and also pitched for them.He was preceded in death by his parents; son Michael; sisters, Christine, Ernestine, Veronica, Marcella, and Della; brothers, William, Francis, Paul, Raymond, Myron, and Steven. Othmar is survived by his wife, Betty; sons, Albert (Debra) of Cumberland, WI, Jim (Susan), Robert (Julie), Ray (Shawn), and Marty (Sarah), all of Miesville; 18 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.The Funeral Mass, officiated by Rev. Leonard Siebenaler, will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, August 29, 2009 at the St. Joseph�s Catholic Church, Miesville, with visitation from 4-8 PM Friday, and one hour prior to the service, all at the church. Pallbearers include: Brad Fox, Shelby Fox, Jason Fox, Justin Fox, Jered Fox, and Cody Fox. Interment will be in parish cemetery.
