Nicholas J. Schluessler

Nicholas J. Schluessler, age 40, passed away January 20, 2022. He was born in Hastings to Richard P. and Jean (Carl) Schluessler on July 7, 1981 in Hastings. Nick had a creative mind and enjoyed life to the fullest. He was always pushing boundaries and thought that most rules were meant to be broken. Nick was loved beyond measure by his family and will be sadly missed. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, August Schluessler, Emil Huberty, and LeRoy F. Carl; grandmothers, Evelyn Schluessler-Huberty, and Jeanette Carl. Nick is survived by his parents, Richard P. and Jean Schluessler; brother, Richard L. (Natalie) Schluessler; and sister, Melissa (Shawn) Spicer; nieces and nephews, Luke, McKenzie, Matthew, Haydon, Haylee, Maddison, and Parker; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 3:30 PM at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, 3075 Vermillion St. in Hastings. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment, Lakeside Cemetery in Hastings.
