Nicholas J. Schaack

Nicholas J. Schaack, age 90, of Prescott, WI died Thursday, October 23, 2008. Nicholas was born July 10, 1918 in Hampton, MN to John B. and Mary A. (Endres) Schaack. He served in the Army Pacific Theatre during WWII and was a member of both the Am. Legion and V.F.W. in Prescott. Nicholas married Isabelle Perry on June 28, 1947 in Hastings. He had worked as a machinist with Economics Laboratory in St. Paul before his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Isabelle in 1995; sisters Helen Beissel, Ann Schmidt, and Marie Beissel; brothers Joe Schaack and Math Schaack. Nicholas is survived by his daughters Mary Ann (Steve) Steinbis of Sycamore, IL, Michelle (Rich) Malone of Green Bay, WI, Anita Schaack of Morgan Hills, CA; sons David Schaack, Larry (Joan) Schaack of Prescott, and John (Linda) Schaack of Cottage Grove; 6 grandchildren Bradley and Joshua Schaack, Shannon (Todd) Vanatta, Lisa Steinbis, Benjamin and Lauren Malone; brother Mike (Viola) Schaack of Hastings. The Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Ed Shuttleworth will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 27th at St. Joseph�s Catholic Church, 281 S. Dakota St. in Prescott, WI with visitation held 2 hours prior to the service, from 9:00 to 11:00 at the church.Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. The pallbearers are Bradley Schaack, Joshua Schaack, Steve Steinbis, Benjamin Malone, Rich Malone, and Shannon Vanatta. Memorials are Preferred.
