Nancy L. Monroe

Nancy L. Monroe, age 56, of Hastings, passed away at home August 1, 2011. Nancy was born to Ralph and Lorraine Damsgard in Hastings on May 18, 1955. She married John 'Henry' Monroe November 21, 1980 at Our Saviour's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hastings. She was an active member of the VFW Auxiliary and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Henry; sons, Brian and Jason (Emilee); daughter, Maria; grandson, Kyler; brothers Kenny (Roxy); John (Dawn); sisters, Karen; Lisa (Butch); Patti (Dave); and Mary (Jim); many other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday (8/5) at 11:00 a.m.a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 w. 15th St., Hastings. A Visitation will be held two hours prior to the mass at church (9:00 - 11:00 a.m.). Interment St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Cemetery.
