Monica Helen Driscoll

Monica H. Driscoll, age 91 of Hastings died peacefully Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at her home, with family by her side. Monica was born October 18, 1922 in Miesville, MN to Louis and Susan (Eilen) Fox. She married Raymond W. Driscoll Jr. on October 23, 1945 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Hastings. A former employee of Smead Mfg. and Lund Ski Mfg., Monica and husband Ray owned and operated Driscoll Bus Co. for over 25 years. She was a lifelong caregiver and caretaker of her family and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Raymond; brothers Roy, Al, Reinold "Knob", and Gerv Fox. Monica is survived by her daughter Cheri (Michael) Harp, son Ron (Jane) Driscoll, all of Hastings; five grandchildren Callie, Taylor, Lexie, Michael and Heather; also six great grandchildren; sister Bernita Riesch of Hastings; and longtime caregiver Rita Baker. The funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Cole Kracke will be held 11 AM Monday, October 13 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 Fifteenth St. West, Hastings, with visitation after 9 AM at the church. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers are Dave Fox, Terry Fox, Randy Fox, Bill Riesch, Jeff Fox and Ray Sailer.
