Millie Davidson

Mildred W. "Millie" Davidson, age 88 of Hastings, died peacefully Friday, April 13, 2018, at United Hospital in St. Paul. Mildred W. was born September 21, 1929 in Eagle Bend, MN to John and Mabel (Larson) Peterson. She was married to John L. Davidson on June 23, 1956 at Como Park Lutheran Church in St. Paul. She was a homemaker and an active volunteer with local Blood Bank, Meals on Wheels and the Girl Scouts. She was an active member at Our Saviours Lutheran Church in Hastings. She enjoyed golf, attending adult enrichment classes, especially painting, going for walks, swimming and skiing. Millie was preceded in death by her parents; and by her siblings Inez, Alice, Lyla, Ruth and Clarence. She is survived by her husband John L. Davidson, her children Kim Davidson, Lynn (Stephen) Humbert, and Kelly (Dan) Buvarp; 5 grandchildren Stephanie, Jenna and Christopher Humbert; Daniel (Taylor) and Madison Buvarp; 1 sister Joyce Peterson, as well as many other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service, officiated by Rev. Lloyd Menke, will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Our Saviours Lutheran Church in Hastings. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to that service. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Alzheimer's Research.Arrangements are being completed by Caturia, Smidt Starkson Funeral Home Crematory of Hastings.
