Michael J. Thums

Michael J. Thums, age 61, of Hastings, passed away at United Hospital in St. Paul on August 15, 2022 He was born in Winton, MN on April 2, 1961 to Oliver and Mona (Keppert) Thums. Michael was a strong, but loving friend who would do anything for someone in need. He loved to be on the water fishing and on the course golfing. Michael had many jobs, but working at Emerald Greens Golf Course was his favorite. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Mona (Keppert) Thums; and sister, Kathy Pederson. Michael was survived by his wife, Trish Pedersen; daughter, Candice (Domanick) Lark; grandchildren, Sarah, Jayden, Shauna and Jordyn; stepdaughters, Angie Pedersen and Alyssa Pedersen; step grandchildren, Alex and Aaron; siblings, Shirley, Daniel, Ronald, Mark, Dawn, David, Rosemary and Steven; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022 from 3:00 - 6:00 PM at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, 3075 Vermillion St. in Hastings.
