Mike Gove, beloved son, husband, brother, father, and friend, passed away Sunday 10/25/2020 after lifelong struggles with liver and kidney disease and several bouts of recent illnesses. Born to Gene and Elaine Gove on 6/16/1964 in NE Minneapolis. The family moved to Hastings, MN where Mike would finish High School and meet his wife, Mary. They were wed on 6/14/1985 and went on to raise their 4 sons and operate the family business, Imperial Counters. Mike enjoyed traveling and loved being outdoors on the water, spending time with friends and family, and looked for every opportunity to celebrate the gift of life. He will be remembered for his persevering and optimistic spirit, joyful heart, his giggle and big smile, and his deep love for family and friends. Mike handled his lifelong illness with grace and gratitude. A special thanks goes out to the medical teams at the University of Minnesota for their care and compassion. Mike is preceded by his mother, Elaine Gove; and brother, Casey Gove He is survived by: wife, Mary; sons Dylan (Sarah Beil), Daniel (Linna Yang), Logan (Kylie Griffith), Regan; father, Gene Gove, sisters Kathy (John) Peterson, Pat (Tony) Brozek, Jean (Brian) Olson, Colleen (Kevin) Wojciechowski; Brother Kelly (Missy) Gove, and many other relatives and friends.
