Merlin L. Anderson

Merlin L. Anderson, age 72, of Inver Grove Heights and Green Valley, AZ died on April 24, 2012 in Tucson, AZ. Merlin was born October 11, 1939 in Hewitt, MN to Woodrow and Evelyn (Kerssen) Anderson. He was a graduate of Bertha High School and theUniversity of Minnesota,and worked in the flour milling industry with King Midas, Peavey Co., and Con Agra prior to his retirement in 1995. Preceded in death by his father, Merlin is survived by his wife Jeraldyne; children Michael (Annie) Anderson of Eden Prairie, Keith (Rhonda Metcalf) Anderson of Hastings, Julie (Charles) Leonard of Plymouth, Steven (Susan) Tusa of St. Paul, Joseph Tusa of Pierre, SD, and Thomas Tusa of Inver Grove Heights; also 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; mother Evelyn Anderson of Wadena, MN; brother Harold (Janet) Anderson of Baxter, MN and sister Geraldine McIntire of Wadena, MN. The Memorial Service, officiated by Rev. Ed Frederick will be held 3pm Sunday, May 20, 2012 at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 E. Seventh St., Hastings with visitation two hours prior to the service. Private interment will be held in Acacia Park Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to donor's choice.
