Meribeth A. Kolehma

Meribeth Ann Kolehma, age 83, of Hastings, passed away peacefully at home on April 16, 2011 surrounded by family, from complications of lung cancer. Meribeth was born April 3, 1928 in Virginia, Minnesota and was a long-time resident of Hastings. After her retirement from Dakota County, she served as a volunteer over the years at Regina Hospital, Hastings Veteran's Home, Hastings Senior Center and Hastings Family Service. She was also an animal lover, always sharing her house with a cat(s) and/or dog. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by husband, Harold; parents, Elizabeth and John Molesky. She is survived by three children, Candace, Brian and Kirk; sister, Barbara Thiede; nieces, Linda (Jim) Pawlowski, Susan (Jessie) Harper; nephew, Steven (Julie) Thiede; great nieces and great nephews; cat, Baby; many beloved friends. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday (4/20) at 11:00 at Our Saviour's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 400 9th Street West in Hastings, with a gathering of her friends and family one hour prior to the service at church. Private Interment.
