Matthew Christenson

Matthew W. Christenson, a local business owner, age 45, of Hastings, passed away at home in Prescott on October 19, 2011. Matt was born in Hastings to John and Jacquelyn Christenson on Dec. 21, 1965. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved to camp. He was a fun loving, practical joker, and he absolutely loved his weekends at the lake.He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Art and Grace Christenson; and Emma Miller. Matt is survived by his daughter, Kailey; parents, Jack and Jackie Christenson; sisters, Holly (Pete) Borgen; Julie Christenson; and Mary (Andy) Flores; grandfather, Arthur J. Miller; nieces and nephews, Melissa Marholz; Andy Jr. and Tiana Flores; and Christopher, David, and Matthew Kniskern; and his two favorite 'girls', his dogs, Marley and Maddie.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday (10/24), at 10:30 a.m., at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. 15th St., Hastings. His Visitation will be Sunday (10/23) from 5:00 -8:00 p.m. at Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring St., Hastings and 1 hour prior to mass at church. Pallbearers are Dave Buck, Steve Johnson, Joel Ling, Ken Heisler, Ken Groth, Brian Herke and Mitch Herke. Interment will be at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Cemetery. Memorials preferred.
