Mary Tobias

Mary L. Tobias, a nurse at Regina Medical Center for 25 years, age 68, of Hastings, passed away at home, surrounded by her family on November 11, 2014. She was born in La Crosse, WI on November 15, 1945 to John and Florence Pierce. She married Gerry Tobias on June 5, 1971 in Watertown, SD. Mary enjoyed to read and travel and most of all she loved her family. She was the most caring woman. She was always there to help those in need, no matter where they were. She was very active in Chemo Angels and was a moderator for the Healing Well website. Mary is preceded in death by her son, Todd Lubinsky; her parents; step mother, June; sisters, Dorothy Ness and Beverly Schaan; and brother, Don Smith. She is survived by her husband, Gerry Tobias; children, John (Colleen) Lubinsky; Karen (Rich) Beskau; Mike (Peggi) Tobias; grandchildren, Mandy, Heather, Jessica and Brian Lubinsky; Kayla (Garrett) and Amy Beskau; and Emma Tobias; great grandchildren, Ciaro and Mia; other relatives and friends. Private Family Services will be held at Christ’s Family Church in Hastings. Interment, Lakeside Cemetery. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers to the family, a memorial bench will be purchased in Mary's honor.
