Mary Sue Engstrom

Mary Sue Engstrom, age 54, of Hastings, passed away peacefully at home on April 30, 2020. She was born in Hastings on September 12, 1965 to John and Mary Jean (Rohr) Engstrom. Mary Sue was a sweet, gentle soul who was devoted to her family and her cats. She loved laughter and the noise instigated by her siblings, cousins, and especially her nieces and nephews. Mary Sue enjoyed Sundays watching football with her dad, volunteering at Hastings Family Service, and power shopping at the Mall of America with Kristin. She attended Hastings Parochial School and graduated with her twin brother, Mike with the Hastings High School class of 1984. Mary Sue worked in health care at Augustana Care Center and Regina Assisted Living. For the last 17 years she worked in the Bakery at Cub Foods. She was preceded in death by her brother, Kurt. Mary is survived by her parents, John and Mary Jean Engstrom; sister, Kristin (Mark) Flora; brother, Steven (Tammy) Engstrom, twin brother, Michael (Valerie) Engstrom; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. A Private Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Father Blane Wasnie, will be held on Tuesday (5/5) at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel in Hastings.
