Mary Maier Simon

Mary Maier Simon, age 74, of Hastings, passed away at United Hospital in St. Paul on July 26, 2016. She was born on May 9, 1942 in River Falls, WI to Herman and Cecilia (Schmitt) Maier. She married Lawrence Simon in Big River, WI on February 8, 1969. Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence; infant son, Gregory: parents; and sister, Rita. She is survived by her children, Ann Simon, Tim Simon, and Chris Simon; brothers, Ernie (Susan) Maier, Jerome (Marilyn) Maier, Francis Maier, and Norm (Denise) Maier; sisters, JoAnne (Peter) Martin, and Terry (Kim) Swinburne; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Fr. TJ McKenzie, will be held on Saturday (7/30) at 10:30 am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. 15th St., Hastings. A visitation will be held one hour prior to mass at church. Interment, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Cemetery. Memorials preferred. The Wise Family Funeral Home is serving the family.
