Mary M. Mckane

MCKANE, MARYAge 81 of HastingsFormerly Morrispassed away on July 19, 2007. She is survived by children, Bill (Brenda), Bob (Christina), Susan (Stephen), Barry (Diane); grandchildren, Becky (Tim), John (Amy), Leah, Mark, Dan, Larissa; great grandchildren, Pearson, Luke, Mason, Everett, and Maia. Mary was raised in Morris, MN and attended the University of Minnesota (B.A., Home Economics, 1949) where she met her husband, John (deceased), of 51 years. Mary and John raised their four children in Hastings, MN. She will be remembered for the love she shared with family and friends, and the great patience, generosity and grace with which she raised her children -- she made it all look so easy. Mary possessed verbal skills beyond most mortals and developed a legendary ability for negotiating bargains on the local 'flea market' circuit. She formed many life-long friendships in the Hastings and Morris areas and in recent years was very fond of recounting past good times. Services will be held Sunday (7/22), 4:00 pm at Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring St., Hastings. Memorials preferred.
