Mary Lutrelle Heinemann

Mary L. Heinemann, age 89 of Hastings, died peacefully on Friday, September 30, 2016, at Augustana Care of Hastings, following an extended illness. Mary Lutrelle, the daughter of Alphy and Ida (Larson) Hoffman, was born on March 21, 1927 in Red Wing, Minnesota. Following her high school graduation, Mary was united in marriage to Eugene Heinemann on June 5, 1948. She was a longtime homemaker and loved spending time with her family and friends as well as reading. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Mary is survived by her children, Nancy (Daniel) Berry of Knoxville, TN, and Mark (Marian) Heinemann of Chanhassen, MN; her granddaughter, Rebecca (Russell) McCurdy of Knoxville, TN; her great granddaughter, Claire McCurdy of Knoxville, TN; her siblings, Arlene (Jerry) Plowman, Eldon "Bud" (Violet) Hoffman, Nick Hoffman, Daniel (Lillian) Hoffman, Kenneth (Barbara) Hoffman; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, October 3, 2016, at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services, 201 East Seventh St., Hastings, with Gordon Gathright officiating. Interment will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Pepin, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Arrangements are being completed by Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services, Hastings.
